Chankanaab Beach

My husband and I had an incredible experience swimming with Robert, the manatee. It was truly one of the most remarkable adventures we've ever had. Robert is such a gentle and sweet creature, and being able to get up-close and personal with him was a true privilege. We were also delighted to have a buffet lunch included, which we both thoroughly enjoyed. Additionally, they even covered the cost of our cab ride back to Cozumel. The garden and lagoon were incredibly peaceful areas that we found very enjoyable. Overall, our day was truly special, and Robert played a significant role in making our 39th anniversary a truly memorable one.

We had a pleasant time at the beach, enjoying snorkeling and the excellent service. The fish and shrimp tacos were delicious. However, it is important to note that bringing cash is advisable. Our food and drink bill, which was initially $85 in US dollars, ended up being $155 when charged to my credit card. Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do about it as I had signed for the transaction in pesos. If you plan on using a card, make sure to check the exchange rate beforehand to avoid any surprises. It turned out to be a rather costly day, which was unexpected considering how positively I felt about it initially.

I absolutely love snorkeling at this beach, it's one of my top spots. They have these amazing underwater statues that make the experience even more incredible. The restaurant located at the far end of the beach is a charming hut that serves delicious food and drinks. One of our favorites is the pineapple filled with booze, which also has an adorable pineapple face on it. The staff here are all fantastic, providing excellent service. There are so many things to explore and enjoy at this beach, it truly has everything you could ask for, and at a great price.

My family and I have visited this beach twice, both times while on a Carnival cruise. I can't even begin to describe how much I adore this place. There is never a dull moment here. I just wish we had more time to spend, as we were only given 4+ hours during the cruise. The water is incredibly clear, like crystal. We opted for the all-you-can-eat and drink package, which was fantastic. There is so much happening here, and we absolutely love it. They also offer snorkeling gear for rent (which is a must-have! I highly recommend it). The staff there are really helpful and will guide you if you're nervous, and then let you explore on your own. It's so much fun!

Spending the day here was absolutely wonderful. We had a great time watching the sea lion show, where they provided detailed information about the distinctions between sea lions and seals, as well as how to differentiate between male and female sea lions. The views are breathtaking, the service is excellent, and the prices are quite reasonable.
