Playa Cabo Real II

I loved my stay. Staff was very welcoming and kind. I came for a solo birthday trip and some relaxation. The resort was absolutely amazing! Most days I walked around to familiarize myself with the property and how to navigate which will be a bit confusing at first. There is Baja Point which are villas on one side of the property where I stayed and the other side is where the restaurants and access to beach and pools/cabanas as well as more rooms. Was very quiet for the days I stayed. Beautiful view of ocean. No complaints!

My US flight landed in Paradise. Such a beautiful location. Such wonderful people. Especially Victor, who made our excursions to the Owners' Infinity Pool extra special. If it's what he wants, I see an extremely successful future for him in Hospitality . Such professionalism mixed with friendly expertise made us feel like superstars. Thank you Victor. We'll be back.

Beautiful resort and incredibly nice staff, but the prices at the “Mercadito” (the hotel’s market for guests) are nothing short of robbery. Pesto Bismol=$21.71 USD (8oz) Honey Bunches of Oats Cereal=$15.69 USD (average sized box) Kit Kat bar=$7.59 USD (regular size-not even the king size!) Plan on making a trip outside the resort for groceries.

What an incredible experience. My wife and I had a spectacular time, in large part, due to the welcoming, friendly, and above-and-beyond staff. We stayed for 4 nights in a beautiful ocean facing studio. The walls were nearly soundproof, so we hardly heard our neighbors. The beach was one of the most striking views we've seen in Cabo. Anyone familiar with Marriott Vacation Club knows how expensive it is to eat/drink at the resort, so we spent most our meal time exploring San Jose, which was a short 20 min Uber away from the hotel. Even after checkout, with our flight at night, we were welcomed to stay all day at the resort. The staff even offered us to use the spa for free to freshen up before we left for the airport. We are frequent guests of other Vacation Club properties each year, and this very quickly became by far my favorite so far.

The staff seems to try hard, but the facility is poorly managed. There was no hand soap available on our first day. They accidentally removed our "owner" status for two days, so we have to retroactively apply discounts to our checks. Concierge was helpful but often unavailable, and honestly we got better recommendations from our uber drivers. The daily yoga is... unconventional. Other hotel events were equally strange or unattended. And the pool music playlist is the same 8 songs over and over and over again, and the staff is as helpless as the guests from ending this unique type of torture. The Beach is gorgeous, the building is architecturally beautiful, and San Jose del Cabo is a phenomenal area. And the food at the hotel was decent enough to want to enjoy the convenience a few times, but no more than that with so many great local options nearby.
