Fantastic beach. It's only 200m long but offers an incredible view of the headlands above Collingwood and across to Colpoys Bay. Why 4 stars? Because some malign person or persons has made it almost impossible to park there. There are about 2 parking spots if you disallow the 2 handicap slips. Why? I suppose the locals don't like sharing their miraculous gift with the rest of us schlubs. There is a beautiful boardwalk that protects the sensitive dunes which are being regenerated with native grasses and foliage. A lovely lookout gives a commanding view of Georgian Bay. We were just passing through but I encourage local residents to fight for more access. We witnessed a terrific storm across the Bay. Magnificent!
Beautiful beach water is crystal clear will be going back forsure
Great beach but locals can suck beetwen my legs..i never paid and i never pay any fine even if receive..i parkd my car..and walkd to swim...you dont own this beach its for everyone its public nature not yours and not your money..Your fine can stick very deep..im tourist anyway dont pay we anyway leave country...and ticket in to the bucket...
Great place. Peaceful
The area is adorned with picturesque dunes and convenient boardwalks leading to the beach. However, it's noticeable that non-parking signals are widespread, seemingly intended to deter non-locals from accessing the beaches. The signage indicates a parking fine of $90 every three hours, which certainly appears unwelcoming. This arrangement seems exclusionary, as those without property in the region are effectively prohibited from enjoying the “public” beaches.
