We want to express our gratitude for the amazing experience we had at your Areti Camping & Bungalows. The beach was absolutely stunning, offering a peaceful and serene atmosphere that felt like a true paradise. I was so captivated by the beauty that I didn't want to leave. We will definitely be returning in the future. Wishing you all the best in strength, energy, and good health.
Areti camp offers a peaceful environment and two stunning beaches, making it a top choice for campers in Greece. The owners have ensured that the tent and camper pitches are spacious and comfortable. The camp store is well-stocked with excellent options. The camp follows all the necessary regulations and prioritizes the safety and enjoyment of its guests. While there may be some available spaces, the owners have found a balance between profit and ensuring the comfort of all guests. If you're looking for late-night parties or barbecues, this may not be the ideal place for you. The camp is located slightly away from the main road, providing the desired tranquility. Well done, Georgios!
The campsite is always busy. Either they don't like me and don't want me there, I don't know. While exploring the area, we stumbled upon the campsite and really enjoyed it. It's spacious, peaceful, and well taken care of. The staff was kind enough to allow us entry. I noticed that there are many negative reviews here, mostly from people whose reservations were not accepted, and the responses to them were quite rude. I assumed that the customers' attitudes may have triggered such reactions, so I politely inquired about availability for 2 adults and a child during quieter times. I did this at least a month before the season opened. The response I received was a brief "no." Even my friends without kids asked, and they were also told it was full. We tried again, this time closer to the end of the season, but it was still full. That just doesn't seem right. Feeling disappointed with the lack of guidance from the host regarding when I could visit, I decided to leave a one-star review. Instead of asking for ways to improve their service, they chose to mock me in the comments.
We spent a week at Areti in September and it was an absolute delight. After discovering the campsite, we knew we wanted to go there and after a few email exchanges, we were able to find a week when they had availability and booked it. We stayed in a charming wooden cottage with a view of the sea. The cottage had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay, including a private toilet, air conditioning (which we didn't need to use as there was a pleasant breeze in the evenings), and an outdoor kitchen that brought us much joy. There's nothing quite like sipping a morning coffee while gazing at the ocean and listening to the birds sing. The campsite is filled with delightful scents of pine, laurel, and eucalyptus trees. The gardens are meticulously maintained and it's a pleasure to stroll through them. Of course, the true natural gems are the two private beaches. They are stunning, peaceful, and sandy, with warm and tranquil waters perfect for swimming all day. The abundance of beautiful fish makes it an ideal spot for snorkeling. All we wanted from this vacation was to relax, swim, and read, and we were able to do all of that while enjoying the delicious food from the restaurant. Each night, we had the pleasure of ordering the daily special along with a side dish or dessert, wine, and a cup of tea to finish off the meal. The prices were reasonable and the service was impeccable. The campsite also has a small market where we could purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, bread, eggs, and other everyday essentials. Their olive oil is absolutely incredible. The campsite facilities, including the shower blocks, were kept in excellent condition. Despite the campsite being full, we never had any issues with showering whenever we wanted, thanks to the multiple shower blocks available. But the best part of our stay was the people. Geor and Elena treated us with such kindness and welcomed us with open arms. We will definitely be returning in the future.
During the high season at the end of August, my wife, two kids, and I stayed in a stone bungalow that accommodated four people. We made our reservation well in advance, which is advisable considering the limited number of bungalows available. In addition to the eight stone bungalows, there are also wooden ones, as well as space for camper vans and tents. The beach offers two beautiful options, and there is a delightful restaurant and a tennis court, which we made use of frequently. If you are seeking a luxurious 5-star resort with all the modern amenities, multiple hotels and restaurants, and the convenience of beachside cocktail service, then this may not be the ideal place for you. However, if you appreciate simplicity, tranquility, and the beauty of nature, along with well-maintained gardens, then this is the perfect spot. Some of the highlights for us included watching the sunset while floating in canoes on the water (you can paddle to three nearby islands for free), playing tennis (although it was hot, it was still enjoyable, and it was also free), and interacting with the genuinely kind and friendly staff. The bungalow exceeded our expectations in terms of size and simplicity. We are grateful and definitely plan to return in the future.
