I enjoyed the secluded natural beach with no amenities. The calm sea allowed me to appreciate its beauty. Just a short distance down the beach to the left, I was able to see an old sunken boat with a snorkel mask. The beach is not crowded, as it is located about 7 km down a dirt road.
The beach is indescribable, but is the rocky and treacherous road worth it? And don't forget about the hiking involved. I would definitely reconsider before making the trip.
The beach is absolutely beautiful! To get there, take the route to Katakilou and turn right past the farm. You can reach the beach in a tourist vehicle, but it's best to park at the top and walk down the mountain to the beach. It's recommended to wear closed-toe shoes for the walk.
This beach is a dream come true. It's one of the best wild beaches on Andros, like paradise with no crowds, just sheep and goats. Take the longer route via Ateni Katakilou instead of the dangerous route. It may take longer, but a normal car can handle it. Just remember to open and close the fence to keep the sheep in. You'll pass by a friendly shepherd's farm before parking at the top of the mountain and walking 10 minutes down to the beach. We've explored almost all the wild beaches on Andros, and this one is the best. The sand and white gravel make it easy to enter the water.
I attempted to drive on the road to Lefka, which was labeled as hazardous. After only 1 kilometer, I decided to turn around due to the rough and unsafe conditions. It seems like this road is best suited for off-road vehicles.
