Cala Pozzarelli is right behind the Punta del Faraglione and can be easily reached via a path that runs along much of the Campese bay. On the route there are at least three panoramic points and two wooden tables with benches where you can refresh yourself... Once you reach Cala Pozzarelli the water is the protagonist and the beach is stony, often completely covered by poseidonia algae which reduces the actual spectacularity of the inlet … Added value: the extreme privacy that exists in the place... to remember for naturists looking for places to be in contact with Nature as Nature created us...
Cala Pozzarelli is located in the north-west sector of the Isola del Giglio, just next to Punta del Faraglione. It can be easily reached by boat with about 15 minutes of navigation north from the port of Giglio and following the coast, while from Porto Santo Stefano it takes about 50 minutes of navigation with a classic rental dinghy without a license. The cove is among the most beautiful on the island and offers a perfect spot for a relaxing day at anchor, broken only by multiple swims in its clear, crystalline water, given by a clear, purely sandy bottom of around 10-15 meters of depth at the permitted anchoring points. For the more adventurous there is also a central rock which offers the possibility of diving from around 3-4 metres. The exposure of the cove is perfect for the trend of the sun during the day and on the clearest days you can clearly spot the island of Elba in the distance. If you are in Giglio, Cala Pozzarelli is absolutely worth a visit.
