The Reefs in Bermuda is truly our favorite spot! We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary on September 10th and wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else. The resort offers gourmet meals, an incredible beach, rooms with stunning views, an infinity pool overlooking the beautiful Atlantic, a complimentary full breakfast, and an excellent staff that truly make it a 5-star experience. Everything you need is right there - from beach chairs and umbrellas to a lovely spa called Serena where we enjoyed fantastic massages and body treatments. The yoga classes over the ocean were amazing! Everyone at The Reefs was so friendly and made our 7-day stay extra special. A big thank you to Joni and Wilfredo, our attentive wait staff, the omelette chef, the gracious Bermudian host who gave us great advice about an approaching hurricane, and Sherime and Marcus who helped us catch our flight out on Bermuda Air. We can't wait to come back next year! Cheers, Jeanne and Patrick.
I stayed at this beach for a long weekend. Some reviewers have mentioned that it is quite far from other attractions and the amenities are not great, so be sure to bring what you need. The hotel had poor wifi, the rooms were buggy and felt somewhat dirty. There was no outlet near the bed, which was a small inconvenience. The doors slammed loudly and I could hear loud noises from above. I believe I was there during a quiet period, as the private beach and pools were not crowded. The food quality and variety were average, and the service was also just okay. Sometimes it took a while to get the attention of the waitstaff during meals. The views were amazing, the private beach was beautiful, and the overall area looked nice. However, I think the resort is in need of some much-needed maintenance and is ultimately too expensive for what you get. I am giving it 3 stars because 2 seems too harsh. If I had stayed longer than a weekend, I believe The Reefs would have been disappointing.
The service at this beach was fantastic! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were delicious, and the resort is in a perfect location with a stunning view of the beach and ocean. They provide chairs and umbrellas for daily use on the beach, and you can also borrow snorkel and kayak gear. Church Bay beach is just a short walk away and is absolutely beautiful. We had a great time and will definitely be returning in the future!
My wife and I dined at Aqua Terra on Thursday, July 6th, even though we were not staying at the hotel. We had a nice table outside, with only a few other tables occupied at the time. Despite being seated before others, it took a long time for us to receive our water and drinks. It took about 20 minutes to place our order, and we waited 45 minutes for our appetizers, which arrived cold and dry. Our fish entrees also took a long time to come out, and the overall dining experience was disappointing, especially considering the high price we paid. The waiter did not address our concerns and only tried to upsell us on more wine and dessert. We were so disappointed that we will not be returning to the Reefs for any future events or meals.
We visited the Reefs Resort for their Thursday night Beach BBQ buffet, bonfire, and music. The setting was beautiful and the buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options including beef brisket, chicken, ham, chili/peach salad, potato salad, corn, and many other sides. There were also multiple dessert choices, such as mango parfait. Drinks were available for purchase at an additional cost, but the $10 dark n stormy was a great deal. Our server, Richard, was attentive and friendly. Although they attempted a bonfire, the strong wind prevented it from happening. Overall, it was a lovely and unique experience.
