You will see some parking space by the sea side near the road, you can park there to take a ~10min walk to reach the bay (if your car is off-road friendly it can probably go further down than near the road). The bay is beautiful, not much shade but plenty of space. Also very close to Knidos if you would like a swim before visiting the museum.
The place has very good view in the beginning, but if you're planning camping 🏕️ this is not place for. And also do not camp alone! There is a fox, it didn't strike us, but we can't sleep at night because of it.And also, couldn't fishing. Fishing is not possible here.
Great bay for swimming and relaxing
Fantastic place...
It is one of the magnificent bays in Datça, but the most magnificent part was the bay behind the hill. There is no way to go down to that bay, and boats cannot dock because it gets quite windy, so no one seems to have been able to reach it or pollute it 💙 We went to Gıynap Bay (or Gıyrap, maybe Girdap 🤪) early in the morning, it was very calm and quiet as it is not accessible like the known bays. it was clean. However, two tour boats arriving at noon polluted the bay as soon as they arrived. As soon as we approached, fresh onion leaves and refrigerator bags washed ashore. It would be better if many places were unknown 😔 On our way back in the afternoon, we met a lot of people on the path leading down to the shore. It turns out that there are as many people who know as there are people who don't know. The navigation route ends at the wrong place, 1-2 minutes ahead. On the way to Knidos, where the bay is on your left on the map, there is a land area on your left. Since we saw a few vehicles parked here, we realized that there was a place to go down to the bay from here and we looked for the location of the path. When you go down a little from the beginning of the path, there are beehives on the right - also visible from the road - that road takes you to the bay. The road is dirt, some places have large and small stones, some parts are rough, and there are parts where you pass through narrow areas of grass and trees. Even though you see the bay and approach it, you hesitate and wonder if you are on the right track. There's a good chance you're on the right track. Let me write for families, we walked to the bay with a child and a baby. We also had camping chairs, food and drinks. I wish a happy holiday to those who are leaving 💙
