This beach is a fantastic spot for taking your dog for a walk and soaking up the outdoor scenery.
Barassie Beach is a hidden gem on the beautiful Ayrshire coastline, offering stunning views of the Isle of Arran in the distance. The beach is in pristine condition, with miles of golden sand perfect for leisurely strolls or participating in various activities. Whether you're building sandcastles with family, having a picnic on the grassy dunes, or trying out water sports like windsurfing or kayaking, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Ample parking makes it convenient to access by car, and as shown in the video made in November, the beach is still enjoyable in the autumn months.
Motor homes are now permitted at this beach. It's a great spot with toilets that require a 30p card payment. However, some doors were left open. The beach is lovely and clean.
I love watching sunsets, and last night I think I found the best spot for sunset viewing on the Ayrshire coast of Scotland. Barrassie is a small area next to the larger town of Troon, and its location facing west is ideal for watching sunsets. Last night's sunset was truly exceptional.
The beach is very spacious and has lots of room for dog walkers. There is a nice promenade with grassy areas for those who prefer to stay off the sand. The shore is shallow and perfect for dogs to enjoy.
