This beach in Newquay, Cornwall is stunning and picturesque. There are free parking spaces available on the streets, which was a hit with the kids.
I absolutely love this beach, it's fantastic. It's so peaceful to sit and watch the waves come in and crash against the walls. Although, I did realize there are a lot of steep steps to climb back up to the road.
This beach is amazing! It's one of the top beaches in Cornwall. The path leading down is quite steep, but it's definitely worth the effort. It's dog-friendly and perfect for swimming. Be cautious of the unstable cliffs and stay at least 50 feet away at all times. There are plenty of cool spots to climb, but it's best to avoid exploring the caves for safety reasons. It's not crowded and a great spot to relax for a few hours. There is space for about 3 cars on the road near the path, but you can also park down by Porth Beach and take a short 5-minute walk up the hill.
Newquay has many beautiful beaches, but my favorite is this one. I especially enjoy it after lunch when the tide goes out, allowing for a walk across the beach. You can explore the stone formations, caves, and enjoy the vast beach. The water is shallow, so you may need to go in further for a decent depth, but I felt safe leaving my belongings on the shore while swimming.
The beach is fantastic, although you do have to navigate some steep steps to reach it as it descends from the cliff (and you'll have to climb back up later). However, the effort is definitely worth it. The beach offers stunning scenery, a peaceful atmosphere, and interesting rock formations and caves to explore when the tide recedes.
