This beach offers both sunrise and sunset views. The east side is peaceful with a pleasant breeze, while the west side is more bustling and commercialized. There are plenty of great dining options and it's enjoyable to take a leisurely stroll around.
The beach, with its white sand and clear water, is absolutely stunning. It feels like a slice of paradise. Watching the sunset at Nungwi Beach is truly a highlight. However, the beach is always crowded and the access from the main road is quite difficult.
The beach is stunning during the day, but there is a strange atmosphere. At night, you'll notice that Italians, who seem to be in charge, and locals are heavily intoxicated and often fighting. Their main goal is to take advantage of tourists and extort money from them. Be cautious as there are many scams and aggressive individuals, and thefts are common. I have personally experienced this.
What a charming little spot for a beach getaway! The beach is surrounded by resorts and restaurants and really comes to life at night. I wish I could have been there for one of the full moon parties when Nungwi gets really lively. The beaches are stunning, although some parts may be inaccessible during high tide. The turquoise waters, beautiful sunsets, and affordable property prices make it a very appealing beach destination. In terms of safety, I was advised not to wander alone after dark, so I followed that advice and had no issues.
Zanzibar boasts some of the clearest beaches, and this particular one is no exception. However, the constant presence of hawkers can be a bit bothersome as they try to sell you something every couple of minutes. Despite this, it is still a beautiful beach overall.
