The only downside to this beach is that dogs are not allowed, or else you'll face a hefty fine. However, the sunset was stunning and there were plenty of wildlife sightings.
The quiet side of Clearwater area is just a short 12-minute drive south. There are only about 8 parking spots, so it can be difficult to find a spot during peak season. There are no showers or bathrooms, but it's worth it. If you prefer a less crowded beach, this is a good choice!
The beach is absolutely stunning! It's not as busy as Clearwater Beach, which is a plus!
After paying $17.50 a month for a parking spot at another beach, it was a pleasant surprise to visit Indian Rocks Beach and discover free parking available.
This beach is a beautiful spot to check out, especially if you stick around for the sunset. Feel free to snap as many pictures as you'd like and soak up the sand, water, and ocean breeze. If you find yourself with some extra time, head over to Keegan's Seafood Grille for a drink, lunch, or dinner. Let me know what you think! Now, let's talk about the 12th Ave Beach Access. It's a great place to visit, but here's the deal: there are no public bathrooms, limited free parking, and only one handicap spot. On the bright side, beach access is free - not the best news, but it's good to know. The beach itself is narrow but pleasant, perfect for the local community and those in the know. If you do visit, please remember that there are no cleaning services available, so be sure to clean up after yourself. As one sign at another entrance says: "Leave nothing but your footprints."
