Decent sized site. Nice level concrete parking pad. Fire ring and a grill stand. Sparse trees or cover, but to be expected at a beach campground. Clean power and water, but the power pole was remotely placed so I was lucky my plug was long enough. Others were much closer. Bath houses were clean and ok, but the dreaded 8 second shower faucet required many restarts to get a full shower..... There was a camp store but didn't need it and they were boarding it up as it was last day of season. Our site was water and power only. Oddly the dump station has no hose bib for flushing your tanks, just the cut hose end to rinse the slinky. A regular there told me he brings a bucket to help rinse his tank. Boat ramp right at the inlet but we didn't use it so can't vouch for it. Big playground right before the beach. Beautiful wide sand beach and a short drive to various N.H. beaches and activities. Our stay was in October so most of the beach was closed, but zero crowd. N.H. was absolutely beautiful. We stayed here to go to Salem and Gloucester but could see numerous activities if we wanted to stay local.
Just out for a get away. Drove around during off season. Blustery and cold today but the scenery was great
Visited in February after some strong winter storms. Lots of erosion and damage.
Nice little campground right on the beach. Camp store is cash only and the guy running it seems a little ornery. Bathrooms were in good shape and used the showers once, no issues there. The water hookups are new and mine was missing the little plastic adapter that converts it to hose thread but they came out in 20 minutes and fixed it for me. Electricity was upgraded a few years ago as well and the dump stations have four lanes as well as hoses for clean out. We will definitely be back later in the season when this place isn't as busy to check out the late season camping!
We came here for 🏕 camping and the overall atmosphere was very positive. One reason - a good weather on fine afternoon at the beach in the month of July 2022. Beach had different access areas marked as R1, R2…., $14 day pass parking for MA resident. However if you are camping, no additional fee required (checked at the campground entrance). We made our base camp (sun shade) on the beach and walked from the camping site location (series W). It takes 10 min and you have full access to the beach. It was full to its capacity. Very colorful and it was pleasant to see people coming out and enjoying the nature. Experience at the camping site was also very good. We had tent but mostly it was occupied by RVs. The site is spacious and gives you a feeling of a small village camp where people are camping nearby. This is a different experience than camping in state forests 🌳sites where you get more privacy. But getting an experience of being at beach day and night has no parallel. We all 🥰 loved watching the sunrise and the sunset 🌅… the memories will stay forever.
