Koh Ngai Paradise Beach

Overall, we really liked and enjoyed this place, but it took a few days to appreciate its charm, despite a few negatives. The resort is very remote, and it can be challenging to get there if the tide is low. You will need to communicate with the front desk the day before your arrival. It's a beautiful resort with nice grounds, lovely decorations, and beautiful wood furniture everywhere. There are hammocks, lounge chairs, and everything is fairly new and well taken care of. The pool is super clean and has nice wood floors around it with lounge chairs. The rooms and public areas are spotless. They clean your room every day. The staff is very attentive and nice. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean. The bed is on the firm side (at least for me). The bathroom is big. If you need extra pillows, blankets, or ice, they will get it for you. It's very quiet and peaceful, next to a dense forest, so you'll hear some unbelievable bird sounds and other critters. There's tons of interesting wildlife around. The breakfast is mediocre, in our opinion, but they did have some nice dishes at times. Their restaurant food is decent but overpriced. We're foodies and picky, and had incredible food in Chiang Mai, Railay, and Koh Jum, so we have high standards. There's a tiny food shack next door (Tour) that has really good food. You're stuck there because it's the only resort, and you can't leave unless you're on a boat, but if there's a low tide, you can't go anywhere. You can kayak (free), they have snorkel equipment and nice snorkeling on both sides of the resort (but the equipment is cheap, so you may want to bring your own), the pool, and that's pretty much it. You can hike to the other side of the island, where there's more action, but it's a bit of a strenuous hike, and you will need to be in good shape. There are Komodo dragons along the way, scavenging on a pile of trash because that's how some people on the island (locals? Tourists?) dispose of it. But not this resort. There's no WiFi in the rooms, which was kind of annoying for us, but if you're willing to disconnect, have peace and quiet except for the animals, and relax, this is the place to do it. There are big jellyfish, huge sea urchins, and stingrays, and people have gotten hurt. Not

We stayed here for one night, and it was fantastic. This island retreat is incredibly quiet and peaceful. We took a longtail boat from Koh Lanta old town, and they dropped us off right in front of the beach resort. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a smile and a refreshing cold drink. The rooms are constructed from wood and feature wooden floors, making them very spacious. The pool is large, and the restaurant offers good food at surprisingly affordable prices for a remote island location. The island faces east, so we were treated to an amazing sunrise at 6 AM the next morning! The crystal-clear water was stunning, and you can snorkel on your own to see all the sea life.

We stayed at the beach for a few days and really enjoyed it. While the resort may not be the newest and the rooms aren't as luxurious as those in 5-star resorts, they were comfortable enough for a good night's sleep and relaxing on the balcony. Our room had AC that worked well and the hot water in the shower was consistent. The breakfast buffet offered a variety of Asian and Western options and was quite tasty. The restaurant and shop on the property were a bit pricey, but there weren't many cheaper alternatives on the island. The food at the restaurant was delicious, especially the local cuisine. The resort also had a nice pool with salty water and a private beach that varied in size with the tide. One of the best perks of the resort was the free kayaks and snorkeling gear available for rent at the reception desk. The staff was friendly and helpful, and having a pier on the island was a convenient feature. It's about a 15-minute walk along the waterfront to the main beach, so I recommend wearing better shoes than flip flops. We also highly recommend taking a snorkeling trip to Koh Rok, which we booked through the reception and was the highlight of our 2-month stay in Asia. One thing to note is that the sound of cicadas on the island can be very loud, especially in the evening, which may cause headaches for some. The WiFi signal was weak and only available in public areas of the resort, but slow internet reception seemed to be a common issue on the island. A few days without internet won't hurt anyone, right? Overall, we were satisfied with our stay and glad we chose this resort.

The beach is very beautiful and perfect for kayaking, as it is calm and peaceful with no tourists around. Just make sure to be cautious of the tide times, as they can affect the beauty of the area.
