Great beach for relaxing. We went mid week to catch a sunset and it was very pleasant. After a week of temperatures in the high 90s it was a nice change of pace to walk around with a light jacket on. Great views and plenty of parking. The lot borders right on the beach so you're on in no time. The beach itself was clean and very nice to walk on (also wasn't busy at all). There was a restaurant and resident only section we didn't get to fully explore but the locals mentioned it is even nicer. Would gladly come back again.
Nice beautiful beach with easy access from Duxbury and Marshville. Very fine white sand beach that is nice to stroll around. It is also well-protected due to presence of endangered wildlife and nesting birds like the Piping Plover and Least Tern. This is an example of successful conservation in the US.
Duxbury beach is very nice and large. There is a public parking area that costs $20 cash only... You were warned. The residents have their own access area including parking on the beach towards the south. The water is a bit warmer here compared to other parts of the nearby coast, but its still friged Atlantic water once you are a foot deep. Besides my fish picture, the beach is well kept and accessible. There is the longest wood bridge in the NE which was a bit scary to drive over hearing the planks wobble under the car weight (we survived). While at the beach, a state police alerted everyone of a fin sighting. About 10 min later a police helicopter was patrolling up and down the coast. It was very professional and worth the $20 after all.
I enjoy a lovely Sunday at this beach. The water was awesome, I felt like a fish in it . I just wish there were less stones cause it make it difficult to walk
Parking is $20! This is outrageous considering that the bathrooms are messy and the "pavillion" has only candy, soft drinks, and ice cream. Staff are not very friendly and beach is one of the smallest I've seen.
